The company was established as P. Chester Plumbing and Heating engineers in 1953 by Peter and Eileen Chester in Bedford, by 1975 the company became limited and from then on was known as P. Chester and Son (BEDFORD) Ltd. the business has continued to trade for over 41 years and still to the day contains active members of the Chester family.

We have provided mechanical installations for a wide variety of Industrial and Commercial Schemes such as Educational/sport and leisure facilities, public buildings, building services such as aspects of the healthcare industry (Hospitals and Care homes) and a number of Police sites. The majority of the projects we do are within the Bedfordshire boundary however we have stretched out to areas of Northamptonshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and London.

Our ever increasing team within the new direct framework consists of System designers, AutoCAD draftsmen, Quantity Surveyors, Service and contract managers, Estimators, Accounts and our fully qualified on site labor workforce which comprises of 2 divisions, one of which is dedicated to service and maintenance works and the other dedicated to the construction industry carrying out larger contract works. Both strive to provide high quality maintenance and or installations of Mechanical building services that include Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Plumbing, Boiler servicing and some varied Electrical applications.

To enhance our day to day service, P. Chester & Son also operate a 24-hour call out service, giving our customers the confidence and peace of mind to call any time. Our estimating policy applies to all jobs ranging from domestic installations to multi-million pound Mechanical contracts. It is a no obligation service designed to give our customers maximum choice with no pressure to commit to any further works. We at P. Chester & Son believe it is very important to provide our clients with a complete and accurate mechanical installation and service. We promise to do our utmost to resolve any problems that occur after the point of sale. Our Managers and Engineers are available to attend site and give technical support regarding any installation undertaken by our team.
